Generators and Collectors of Used Oil Can Now Benefit From MemPore System With Attractive Financing Option
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - MemPore Environmental Technologies Inc. announces it is partnering with iFinancial Group of San Clemente, California in order to provide attractive lease financing for eligible prospective customers wishing to acquire a MemPore System.  MemPore’s core technology uses nano-filtration membranes as the “heart” of its Systems for recycling used lubricating oil into clean base oil.  By partnering with iFinancial Group, MemPore now makes it possible for used oil generators and collectors to immediately realize the benefits from one of its Systems through very attractive financing/lease terms.

Membranes have been used for decades as an economical means to remove dissolved molecules from water but have never been successfully applied to used oil.  The MemPore technology, developed initially at the National Research Council of Canada, solves this problem and produces a base oil that meets all API specifications in terms of both chemical composition and physical characteristics.  MemPore’s first commercial scale System was commissioned in June 2017.

The entire MemPore System can be located within a standard height room of less than 700 square feet, is economical and easy to operate, and it can be acquired at a fraction of the cost of the standard re-refining technologies (vacuum distillation and hydro-treating) for an equivalent capacity. The MemPore System therefore provides a means for companies who either generate or collect used oil to convert this resource into valuable base oil, rather than merely selling it to others for burning or re-refining.  It provides a 70% yield of base oil, is environmentally friendly, and produces 71% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than other forms of oil recycling.  Alastair Samson, MemPore CEO, notes: “Our discussions within the oil recycling industry have highlighted intense interest in this patented new technology.  We expect a number of generators and collectors to welcome this new leasing opportunity as an attractive means to acquire MemPore Systems and dramatically improve their profitability and margins.”
